In case you're wondering after our recent posts —  we don’t think digital files are the enemy! Today’s clients expect them. And we know (because digital downloads are such a popular feature in Workspace)  that for many photographers, they’re a vital part of a thriving, sustainable business — and when embraced with intention, they can enhance, not diminish,  the client experience. They are the first step in a meaningful client relationship. Today’s clients want to share, relive, and carry their memories everywhere. So think of digital To View More >>

If you heven't logged into Workspace for a while you may be surprised next time by a very different looking platform. That’s because our December upgrade has now been rolled out. Here's what we've done. Interface upgrade (updated, simpler, more intuitive) Although much of what we've done in this upgrade is "behind the scenes", we’ve also worked hard on the user interface. We've gone for a cleaner, more contemporary look, refined things to keep pace with evolving web design standards, and repositioned and relabelled buttons and other calls To View More >>

If you can’t name five things that differentiate you from your competitors, there’s probably only one – your price. Here's what differentiates Queensberry: 1. We believe the way to succeed is to stand out from the crowd, not to join it. There’s less competition, more satisfaction and more pride at the high end of the market … and it’s our job to help get you there. Think of our albums as profit centres, not costs. 2. We’re design-led. The people in your viewfinder will be looking at your albums for much longer than we will. They must look beautiful To View More >>

A big part of her work is staying present and supporting those around her with love. By savouring the day-to-day and saying "yes" to opportunity she  has met and photographed Warren Buffett, Serena Williams, Amy Adams, Deepak Chopra, Diane von Furstenberg, David Beckham, Will I Am, Gordon Ramsay and Tom Hanks to name a few. Recently we worked with Ebonnie Louise Photography  to set up her website, and we had so much fun we thought we’d share it with you. We worked with her under our Turbostart service, which helps photographers with their Workspace websites.  Ebonnie had worked with Olivia Lord Design to create her brand identity, so she came to us with a strong brand, and brand message, which was great, for two reasons. First, we knew exactly what she was after, which made her the ideal customer. And second, Turbostart is not about design and branding, but the technical stuff — setting To View More >>

It’s hard to believe how time flies … Before you know it we’ll be gearing up for that crazy fun-filled time we call Christmas. A time for holidays … and family … and at Queensberry, for getting those precious photographs into albums for everyone to share over the holidays! It’s also time to think about getting your sample albums ready for the January shows. Which means that, for your peace of mind, and to allow us time to handcraft your order, it’s time to remind you of our holiday cut-off dates, so you’ll be sure to receive your albums and books To View More >>

As told to Cate Scaglione - Life As Fine Art Thanks to the digital revolution our culture is by far the most photographed generation in history. Without planning or purpose, people now take pictures simply to share them on a global scale. Sociologists are enjoying a field day over the reasons why, but certainly with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr we have so many ways to broadcast intimate moments with family, friends, pets and our last meal. Which means professional photography is becoming less relevant and less profitable, right? Or is it? The anti-selfie When a client hires a highly To View More >>
